Costume designer Milena Canonero remembers finding one of these sweaters in a secondhand shop: “The original was slightly different and in bad shape, but I liked the idea. I had it reknitted and changed the design somewhat, to make it right for Danny. I had a great knitter who knitted several sweaters for the movie.”
